The year is coming to a close and our network quality reporting is around the corner. Starting in January 2019 the Alliance Clinical Documentation team will start their annual audit. This year qualified providers in our NextGen ACO will be covered from MIPS reporting. Unlike in prior years reporting does not cover whole Tax IDs, rather our reporting covers qualifying NextGen ACO physicians. Regular updates regarding reporting progress will start in mid-January. We appreciate your office’s support during this process.

Because NextGen ACO is NPI based there is a key consideration for reporting this year: Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants who saw more than 200 Medicare patients AND had allowed charges billed to Medicare in 2018 in excess of $90,000 will be in the MIPS reporting environments. An internal review of Alliance practices found less than 10 NPs and PAs who independently qualified for MIPS.
